About Me

I am a Creative UX/UI Designer with a background in advertising and marketing. With over seventeen years in creative design, I understand the business of advertising, marketing, branding, development and interface design. I take a creative, strategic and people-centric view of how to connect people and brands to technologies, ensuring them a positive user experience. I focus with the kinds of mediating technologies that can best be used to make those engaging experiences where the connection happens. I sketch with pencil and technology, steeped in strategy, so the things make sense – it's not about technology just for the sake of technology. The experiences they design address real needs of people.
After 11 years in the center of Toronto working for creative design agencies and corporations, I have returned home to Prince Edward Island with my wife and two young children. P.E.I. is a special place, and I felt they should experience the same fantastic quality of life that I gained growing up here.

Having over 17 years in print and web design I have led teams in creative design and development from strategic planning through to final delivery.

Apps

Do you have an app that needs a slick UI and UX? I have worked with developers creating mockups, UI elements and wireframes for iPhone, Android and Blackberry. I was also cofounder of FastApp, an online app finder/aggregator.
